About Captain Todd Cuccio
As a young boy Todd spent his summers on Barnegat Bay fishing with his Grandfather. This is where he was schooled in fishing and boating at a young age. At 14 he began running the family boat SUNNY ISLES, a 30 footer for his family taking out friends and clients for a day of inshore fishing for fluke or blues.
Todd was always passionate about fishing. The family boat was getting tired so in 1989 she was replaced with the IMPULSE, a 38 Bertram that has the range for the canyon and long range fishing trips.
The canyon experience started in 1990, on the first trip Todd was hooked making 15 to 20 trips a year to the canyon for Tuna Marlin and Swordfish.
Todd quickly realized the IMPULSE had the ability to take long trips in comfort, so he scheduled an 8 day fishing trip to run the IMPULSE to North Carolina Oregon inlet in the spring of 1995, to fish for Tuna, Mahi, Marlin, Red Snapper, Jumbo Sea Bass and Amberjack.
After fishing NC for many years Todd was ready for a new challenge. Todd scheduled a trip to run the IMPULSE to Florida, Fishing out of Haulover FL, this allows good access to the keys and Bahamas where live bait is a must Todd spend his days fishing for sail fish, kings, Mahi Wahoo, and bottom fishing for grouper, snapper, Hogfish and Yellow tail just to name a few.
